Tips for Choosing the Right Subject Combination
1
Science, Engineering, Medical, Tech (Cyber Security, Data Science etc.): Stick to English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology as your core subjects.
2
Arts, Law, Social Sciences, Mass Comm: Go with English + Literature, Government/History, Economics, CRS/IRS. Literature is especially important for Law.
3
Choose subjects you scored well in WAEC/NECO and that match your strengths — don't pick based on what others are doing.
4
Competitive courses (Medicine, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, Mass Comm, Computer Science, Engineering, new Tech/Medical programmes) require higher UTME and strong Post-UTME scores.
5
Wrong combination? You can do Change of Course/Institution on the JAMB portal before Post-UTME closes. Don't panic — act fast.
